Pressing on in the Storm!!!!!

In the midst of me being in and out of the hospital, Denny presses on. I've put these pics in no particular order, but here Denny is enjoying a very large piece of pie on Thanksgiving that we all gave him a hard time over............He actually wasn't able to eat it all.....Wow!!!!

Our hickory floor downstairs!!!

Denny has just about all the trim and doors done upstairs. Then paint and carpet.

Keeley's (guest) countertop in the bathroom. He also changed the grout on the floor to a dark gray.

more doors and trim complete....

Keeley's accent wall is painted....

Laundry room.......

Master bath....... the tile has been picked up to finish the deck and shower...it's a lot of tile........

more of the master bath......

This picture was taken a day before my SI joint decided to pop out of place. That happened Nov. 7th. I think that my belly is bigger now that I just sit in a Hospital bed wilting away, Keeley is growing like mad. She kicks and moves all the time, it always makes me smile. In the midst of all the drugs I'm on she is still very active. I couldn't be more thankful........

The house is very close to live in. At this point, I'm not sure I can live in it until Keeley comes. I can't do stairs and there isn't a bath downstairs, so I'm not sure. Please keep our circumstances and our finances in you prayers......we are definitely being stretched in everyway!!!!

Things are coming along!!!

Well, as you can see, Denny and I took some time out of his crazy work schedule to spend some time celebrating out 8 years of wonderful marriage. Believe it or not, we were originally scheduled to be in Boston from the 19-27, but due to baby and other health complications we thought a short trip to the coast would be sufficient this year. (What are the chances though, that Boston was in the World Series!!! That would have been cool!) Instead we watched from the Hotel room, which was more relaxing for my aching body as well as Denny's but more entirely different reasons. He's trying to build a mansion and I'm trying to build a little precious girl!!!

As you can see, we didn't forget our first child, Dash!!! He had a blast. I don't think he likes the beach in particular, he just loves to run after the ball, it doesn't really matter where he is.

Denny and Don poured the front porch the other day. It was so cold, it wouldn't set up, so they went back at 2am to go over one last time. Talk about dedication!!!! It turned out great!!!

Doors came in. To be installed soon!!!

Tile in the mud room/powder room. Again, my man does good work!!!!

The hickory floor is in. Been waiting for the humidity to go down, so we can install. It's pretty!!!

Tile in the upstairs bathroom. This may be a repeat picture. It just needs grout and cabinets, or yeah and a toiley!!!!!

Cabinets came. Need some finishing doors and handles and lets put those babies in.

Various lights you will see throughout the house.........................

Same tile also in the laundry room upstairs!!!

Lastly, our master fan to keep up cool at night. I promise to corner somebody to take a picture of my belly for you all to see. I'm not huge thankfully, but I sure feel it.
Stay posted........ Den and Ang:))))

Interior Painting

Before color goes on the walls, two coats of primer is required. The haze you see respresents the intense fumes in the room.

At the end of the project Denny and Don look ready for Halloween!

The twins took a day to sheet our outside soffits.

Confined to the garage due to 'wet paint' in the house. He acts so pitiful and neglected. Good actor!

These walls represent all the sample colors we tried for rooms. We ended up using 6 different colors thru the house.

Keeley's room. The blank wall will be a nice brown.

We liked the brown so much, we decided to use it also in the work out room/Den.

Painting will be finished on Monday. Tile and Hardwood are the next steps. Yeah, we are getting close.....I can hardly wait!!!!

Siding and painting!!

Well, I must start with the celebration of our first child's birthday!!!! Dash turned 2 on September 18th. Denny and I bought him a McDonald's ice cream cone and took him to the park. At first, he smelled it and wanted nothing to do with it!!!!!!

Then Denny took it and said "Fetch it up!!!!!" He then downed it and was looking for more!!!! So cute:)

Back to the important house stuff. With 3 sides of the house sided, waiting for rock for the front, Denny started the painting process. He painted almost all of the 3 sides in 3 hours!!!

Here Denny is mixing mortar for the wonderboard that is laid down before the tile in bathrooms, mudroom, and laundry room.

More mortar to seal the shower in the master bath.

As always we take small little breaks to give Dash some entertainment. Here he is staring at his duck that Denny is teasing him with outside the second story bedroom.

Finally got to start siding the front of the house!

Dash protects the front yard while keeping me from working, because he is laying on my rake and protecting his duck.

The top is almost finished. Maybe if it stops raining we can finish painting. Rock should be arriving soon!!!! So many projects to finish.....which do we do first?!!!!

As you can see things are coming along. It seems slow sometimes, but the progress is fairly steady. Keep praying for the financing so Denny can keep working and finish as soon as possible. He is a tired boy and doing all he can to stay motivated!!!! A big thanks to everyones support and love and prayers!!!!!

Messy Sheetrock

We now have a beautiful garage floor. It was laid so fast by Don, Denny and Andrew that I missed the progress pics. Doesn't it look great!!!!!

Mudding the sheetrock. We had a great crew. Tim and Ted (The twins), Denny, Don, and Andrew.

Hard at work, mixing mud and putting it on the walls.

Andrew is our steady. Not sure what we would do without this guy.

Be careful Don. I don't want to be responsible for you falling!!!!

Okay, so here's a belly pic. I'm not a fan of it, but Denny thinks it's adorable. It's weird to watch your body change in such ways. I'm trying to get used to it.
Lovely!!!!!
That's all for now. Texturing the walls begins Friday!!!! Not sure the timeline from there, but hopefully finishing soon!!!!!
Love you all,
Angie:)
