Well yesterday was Keeley's first swim lesson with Mommy. I was really excited because when she was 6 months we took her to the pool and she loved it. At bathtime I pour water on her head and she has no problems with water in her face. But.........At six months it was a hot day in an outside pool and bathtime the water is warm. Yesterday, at the Oregon City pool, the boiler was broken. The pool was freezing. I was cold. As soon as she felt that cold water, she cried and cried!!! There was one other mom and her 7 month old son and he loved it. Of course his Gma sat next to Denny and tried to tell Denny that we were six months late getting Keeley in the water and that is why she is afraid. Denny quickly informed the Gma that Keeley wasn't afraid she was freezing. Her feet and hands were purple and she was shivering. After hearing that remark from Gma, the hair on the back of my neck raised and I had many thoughts I would like to share with Grams (starting with a big scar down my middle) Uuuugggggghhhh! It's so good I did not hear that Gma first hand. At any rate, I'll be calling the pool before Wednesday's lesson. I'm not going to make Keeley go through that again!
Other than that, Keeley is a very happy little girl. She loves to laugh, eat,play, sleep and she stands up quite a bit. Aaaaggggghhhhh, I'm not sure I'm ready for walking, but it is coming:)

Hey Ang,
I'm so glad to see you blogging! I'm sorry to hear about the fiasco at the pool, and the comments you could have done without. It is so frustrating when other people think they have all the answers! I know I've had to clamp my mouth shut a few times when I wanted to give someone a piece of my mind. We didn't get out kids in the pool until they were a year old and they didn't seem scarred, or scared. :) Gabe LOVED it, Meeley really liked it, and Abby didn't seem to care much, but she had fun. They're all different, and Keeley will be too. I hope the next lesson warms up a bit!
